We headed out early last Wednesday to meet up with Josh Widaman, Estate Winemaker and Gustavo Avina, Viticulture Director, over at Pine Ridge Vineyards.
Right now, the wineries in Napa Valley are “leafing”, which means pulling some of the growth away from the growing grapes to allow airflow (to avoid botrytis, powdery mildew, etc) and sunlight (to allow ripening). All is looking good for the 2021 vintage so far!
