Hear About Napa Valley’s 2016 Harvest from Coast to Coast

On Thursday, September 29, local vintners Angelina Mondavi and Bruce Cakebread spoke about harvest 2016 on radio stations around the country. Choose from the rosters below and listen to broadcast recordings.

About Angelina Mondavi

Angelina Mondavi, a fourth generation Napa Valley vintner, is at the forefront of the next generation of winemakers. She began her career at the age of 10, assisting the laboratory manager at her family’s winery, Charles Krug. Today, she is the winemaker and co-proprietor for Dark Matter Wines, a joint venture with her three sisters. Prior to starting Dark Matter, Angelina worked in winemaking at Hess Collection Winery, Pine Ridge Vineyards and One True Vine wine company. She worked for Yalumba Wine Company in the Barossa Valley in Australia, where she continued to expand her knowledge. While in Australia, she earned a Master’s Degree in Oenology from the University of Adelaide’s Waite Campus.

About Bruce Cakebread

Bruce Cakebread is president and chief operating officer of Cakebread Cellars. He is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the winery, the family vineyards and all grower relations. Discussing the Cakebread family’s philosophy of winemaking, Bruce says, “We are very fortunate to have an excellent collection of vineyards and have worked alongside some of the best growers in Napa Valley for many years to produce consistently high quality wines.” Bruce is a two-time past president of the Napa Valley Vintners (2010 and 2013).
