While much of Napa Valley is wrapping up harvest, things are still underway high above Lake Hennessey at Amizetta Vineyards.

Brothers and vintners Perry and Ed Clark take us to their estate vineyard at 1,400 feet to share what they’re seeing in the 2026 vintage, including concentrated fruit, an earlier-than-usual harvest and the benefits of additional hang time on the vines.

They also explain how Amizetta’s distinctive mountain location shapes conditions throughout the growing season. Cool air moves down from the mountain while air from Lake Hennessey pushes upward, helping shield the vines from frost and extreme heat.
