Alan Viader, Winemaker and Director of Operations at Viader Vineyards & Winery, tells us this happens every spring after a long, heavy rainy winter. We wait for budbreak then, in between dropping your kids at school and running errands, suddenly the vineyard is racing ahead with tall cover crop and strong canopy development. And then the work to keep up starts! All is looking great for Napa Valley’s 2024 vintage so far!
